How do I add clickable links in my pages?

To add a link in your page or post:

  • Type in your text.
  • Highlight the text you want to use as your link.
  • Click on the “Insert/edit link” (chain) icon in the toolbar (highlighted here in red):

  • A popup box will appear:

  • You can either:
    • Search for an existing page on your website, or
    • Add a link to any web address (always ensure you use http:// or https:// first).
  • Press “Enter” on your keyboard, or click the blue button.
  • You have now created a link!
  • Remember to preview or publish the page and test your link works.

 

To edit an existing link:

  • Click onto your link, then click on the “Edit” icon:

  • Or an alternative method is to click onto your link, then click on the “Insert/edit link” (chain) icon in the toolbar (highlighted here in red):

 

To remove an existing link:

  • Click onto your link, then click the “Remove link” icon:

  • Or an alternative method is to click onto your link, then click on the “Remove link” icon in the toolbar (highlighted here in blue):

 

To open a link in a new browser window:

  • Click onto your link, then click on the “Edit” icon:

  • Next, click on the “Link options” icon.
  • On the popup window, tick “Open link in a new tab”.
  • Click “Update”.

 

Using an image as a link:

For example, do you want to make a logo into a clickable link?
