How do I add / edit FAQs on my website?

Please note, this guide only applies to websites that have our FAQ module installed.

Having a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) module allows you to provide better customer service, so your visitors can quickly find answers to their common queries.

If you’re interested in having this system installed on your website, please contact us.

To add FAQs:

  • Go to “FAQs” in your website editor menu
  • Click on “Add New”
  • Put a short question in the top box
  • Put your answer in the larger box below
  • On the right-hand side of the screen, if you see various categories displayed, you should select at least one relevant category (this may not apply to all websites)
  • Click on “Publish”

The FAQ will then display on the relevant page(s) on your website. How this looks may vary on different websites (depending on how we’ve designed it), but it will usually display in a toggle format (see below):

If you do not see the published FAQ appear on your website straight away, you may need to clear your website’s cache.

To edit existing FAQs:

  • Go to “FAQs” in your website editor menu
  • Click on an existing FAQ item
  • Make your edits, including choosing any categories on the right-hand side of the screen
  • Click on “Publish”

Again, you may need to clear your website’s cache to see the published FAQs.

Changing the display order of FAQs:

By default, FAQs are shown in date order, with the newest displayed first.

We normally install a function that allows you to simply drag and drop the items on the FAQ index screen, so you can easily change the ordering. If you need this feature activating on your website, please let us know.
