If you want to send out a newsletter to your subscribers, we recommend using a mailing list provider. These companies specialise in sending out bulk emails. They normally include extra features, such as statistics on how many people opened your messages, automatic removal of bouncing email addresses, etc.
These services also help you comply with data protection legislation. For instance, they normally ask subscribers to confirm their subscription first, to ensure they are opting-in.
Here’s some options:
- Many of our customers use MailChimp, which is a long established and reputable provider. MailChimp have an easy-to-use interface. It’s free up to 2,000 subscribers (see pricing info). See further help with MailChimp.
- You might also consider Your Mailing List Provider or MailerLite, which should work out more economical for larger email lists (over 2,000 subscribers). Please note, though, we haven’t had any recent experience of these services, so we suggest carrying out your own research to check they meet your needs.
Or if you search online, you will find other mailing list services available.
As these are third-party services, technical support and help guides should be available from these services directly. Primary Image doesn’t provide any free support on using these tools, but we’re very happy to help on a paid-basis (e.g. if you need help setting up your newsletter’s design).
