Diagnosing issues with your internet connection using Traceroute

Windows

1. Open the Start menu
2. Click on or type “Run”
3. Type “cmd” and then press the OK button to open a command prompt
4. At the prompt, type “tracert yourdomain.com” and press the Enter key
5. Please let the tool run until it says “Trace complete” – this may take a few moments
6. To copy the output, select all the text on the screen and then press the “CTRL” & “C” letters on your keyboard to copy this to your clipboard

Mac OS

1. Go to Applications -> Utilities -> Network Utility -> Traceroute
2. Type the  domain name in the input field (e.g. yourdomain.com) and press Trace.
3. Copy the output.
